A Spring Peak District Wedding – Caroline & Tim’s Wedding
On the morning of 28th May 2016 I set off to Little Longstone for the Wedding of Caroline and Tim. The couple are very laid back, with interests in the outdoors and Caroline being a keen runner. I’d shot their engagement shoot a few months prior up on Curbar Edge and felt really excited about shooting their big day.

Bridal Prep
The sun was shining and as I approached the location Caroline was getting ready, I knew the day was going to be pretty special. The grounds outside were lovely and a perfect setting for some bridal prep photos. Caroline remained calm all morning (despite informing me after her big day that she’s normally a nervous wreck).

The Ring
We were so lucky with seasonal flowers too, the blossom was still out on the trees which made a fantastic frame around the dresses hung in the tree, probably my favourite dress shot out of all the weddings I’ve shot 🙂

Even the driveway made a great location to shoot the family photos of Caroline, her niece, bridesmaids and mum!

The Ceremony
The ceremony was held at Little Longstone Chapel, which is the cutest chapel I have ever seen! The Rapeseed was still out in the fields surrounding which made it even more picturesque.

Ice Cream
After the service, Caroline & Tim had arranged for all of their guests to have an ice cream from the ice cream van at Monsal Head, this provided the perfect opportunity for some fun photos.

Couple Shots
Once the ice creams had been consumed, we headed out to take Caroline & Tim’s couple shots. I immediately knew I wanted to use the May flower around Monsal Head as a backdrop to some of their images and using my octobox, filled the shadows with my speedlite. We them headed over to
Longtone Edge for some more photos and again we were treated to some great scenery.

The Evening
The evening celebrations took place in their local pub, they opted for a cupcake wedding cake and no first dance but instead a sparkler exit with a few close friends and family.

A great end to a beautiful day 🙂
