JESS & JAKE’S PALACE HOTEL BUXTON WEDDING

“MY PARTNER AND I WOULD LOVE TO BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING NEXT YEAR, WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR WORK!”

Jess warned me upon their initial wedding meeting that they had a dog, and would I be ok to still meet them? Errr hell yeah! I love dogs and I was secretly hoping he’d be part of their big day… Dogs at Weddings = ?

Unfortunately the Palace Hotel don’t allow dogs otherwise he’d have definitely made an appearance! We got on amazingly at their meeting and when Jess contacted me to say they’d love to book, I was mega excited!

PEAK DISTRICT ENGAGEMENT SHOOT – erwood hall

Jess & Jake were keen to book their engagement shoot in early on, they were both nervous about being in front of the camera so wanted to take advantage of the engagement shoot! We headed over to Errwood Hall, which is one of my favourite places to do engagement shoots. They were both fantastic and so relaxed, and as you can see, you’d have never guessed they were nervous! They absolutely rocked it!

THE PALACE HOTEL – BRIDAL PREP

Jess and her family had opted to get ready at The Palace Hotel. She had all of her sisters surrounding her and it was such a lively and fun atmosphere! Being part of an Irish family, Jess and her sister’s certainly knew how to have a good time and I was made to feel so welcome on the morning!

Aoife’s flower girl dress had been bought all the way over in America and it was absolutely stunning! The detail and colours were just fantastic! She also looked pretty damn cute in it! The bridesmaid dresses were equally as sparkly and combined together, the girls looked amazing!

Moving on to the brides dress, oh my word it was stunning! Jess had picked her perfect dress at Gracie Bleu Bridal in Buxton and it was every bit impressive. I couldn’t resist hanging it up against the deep purple curtains, which perfectly matched the colours of her flowers and her mum’s precious ring.

ST PETER’S CHURCH – THE SERVICE

Jess and Jake picked St Peter’s Church for their ceremony, I’ve got to admit, it’s one of my favourite churches to shoot in! Such a relaxed environment and nicely lit. I could tell Jake was feeling nervous, even when photographing him with his groomsmen. This became even more apparent as he was waiting at the Alter for Jess to arrive.

It was a beautiful ceremony and the weather outside was just incredible! Clear blue skies and glorious warm sunshine! Everyone was in good spirits and ready for the evening ahead!

THE PALACE HOTEL BUXTON WEDDING

Now it was time to head over to The Palace Hotel in the centre of Buxton. The Palace Hotel is a popular venue for weddings with lovely front garden, it’s multiple rooms to host weddings and also the availability of accommodation.

The beautiful weather had allowed for all of the guests to socialise outside, which is always great as it’s a good opportunity to capture everyone in oen place, having a great time! Even the kids were enjoying themselves!

THE SPEECHES & A BIG SURPRISE!

They wasted no time getting the speeches started once everyone was seated, Jake did a great job standing in front of everyone but unfortunately his nerves got the better of him (totally understandable, and huge respect to you for getting up there and giving it a go!). After the speeches, Jess had a big surprise for everyone, including Jake! Singing Waiters!

palace hotel couple shots

The Palace Hotel gardens in summer are a plethora of colours, which makes the perfect setting for couple shots. The shaded area behind the trees was a great location with the sun just shining through behind them! Absolutely beautiful!

CAKE CUTTING

The cake had been beautifully made by CheCakes. Creations by Kachina. It was very impressive and really unique, once again the cake cutting was accompanied by smiles and laughter from Jess and Jake!

FIRST DANCE

It was soon time for their first dance and it was magical! It was lovely to see them both in their element on the dance floor, like there was no-one else around!

A perfect end to such a perfect day!
